Implementation Plan - CHIA aims to identify children who are at-risk due to chronic/critical ill-health, disability, lack of access to education or otherwise likely to be institutionalised. Based on the perceived urgency of that risk, CHIA develops a tailored Care Plan for the family, usually including some or all of the following :
- physiotherapy and other allied health services
- assistance towards surgery
- educational sponsorship for the at-risk child and siblings
- other poverty alleviation initiatives and extensive follow-up of all services provided
CHIA is currently aware if over 700 such at-risk children in the Hoi An area alone and has yet to begin a Needs Analysis of neighbouring district Duy Xuyen, where the needs are expected to be much higher.
